Product Designer – Internal Tools

SwingDev—a hippo company is the Polish branch of a fast-growing InsurTech product company – Hippo Insurance. The company focuses on making home insurance smarter and more proactive through technology. They create digital products that support customers and emphasize a strong tech experience and positive team culture.

• 3+ years shipping production work with a portfolio demonstrating process, data, and impact.
• Proficient with Figma features like components, variables, auto-layout, and prototyping.
• Comfortable designing data-dense, workflow-heavy interfaces including tables, filters, dashboards, and multi-step flows.
• Experience using LLMs as part of the design toolkit (e.g., Claude).
• Ability to work independently on projects with support from staff designers.
• Fluent in English with afternoon availability 2-3 days a week for calls across US time zones.
• Clear design process with ability to give and receive feedback constructively.

Nice to have:

• Experience with internal tools or operations-heavy products such as admin panels, agent consoles, claims tools, or CRMs.
• Experience designing AI-powered features like chatbots, agent assistance, and AI-driven workflows.
• Knowledge of US home insurance, claims, or insurance operations or strong curiosity to learn.
• Experience working with US stakeholders and managing time zone differences.

• Design intuitive, accessible internal tools for Hippo teams used daily.
• Partner with PMs and engineers from discovery onwards to define problems and ship features improving operational metrics.
• Conduct user interviews, shadow sessions, and feedback loops with tool users.
• Sketch, wireframe, and prototype at varying fidelities using Figma and LLMs.
• Facilitate conversations aligning product, design, and engineering.
• Share work openly in design critiques, embracing feedback and collaboration.
