They create products used across multiple regulated markets combining technology, creativity, and commercial expertise. The role is within a newly forming team owning a specialised and business-critical Game Engine domain, focusing on tools and services for mathematical game logic and compliance.
Wymagania
- Strong software engineering experience in backend, game engine, gaming, gambling, betting, or simulation-heavy environments.
- Solid experience with Node.js/TypeScript or strong expertise in another object-oriented language such as C++, Java, C#, Go, or Python.
- Good understanding of software architecture, code quality, testing, debugging, and maintainability.
- Experience reviewing complex code and providing clear technical feedback.
- Ability to understand domain-specific logic and work with tightly connected business rules, mathematics, and engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex, non-standard technical challenges.
- Experience with production systems where reliability, accuracy, and correctness are critical.
- Understanding of backend systems, APIs, data flows, and service-to-service communication.
- Ability to collaborate closely with non-engineering experts, especially mathematicians or domain specialists.
- Strong ownership mindset and willingness to become a key expert in a narrow, highly important technical domain.
- Product-oriented thinking recognizing that engineering decisions affect delivery, quality, and compliance.
- English communication skills sufficient for an international environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience or interest in igaming, gambling.
- Knowledge of Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes.
Obowiązki
- Own, maintain, and evolve Playson’s Game Engine domain.
- Work on internal frameworks and libraries used by mathematicians to implement game logic and mathematical packages.
- Review and validate code written by mathematicians ensuring quality, correctness, maintainability, and proper framework usage.
- Develop and support game engines running mathematical logic within the platform.
- Support integrations with external game studios by building wrappers and bridges.
- Work with data structures and protocols connecting game logic with frontend and backend systems.
- Contribute to RTP monitoring, validating production transaction data against simulation data and expected behaviour.
- Support and evolve tools for mathematical review, simulations, data files, monitoring, and alerting.
- Implement and maintain round details logic for regulated markets.
- Collaborate with mathematicians, backend engineers, platform teams, compliance stakeholders, and product representatives.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure high engineering standards.
- Investigate issues related to game logic, validation, monitoring, and engine behaviour.
- Participate in minimal on-call responsibilities around monitoring, alerts, and domain-specific incidents.
- Take ownership of a highly specialised area requiring quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
