DataBricks Developer (Digital Engineering)

• Experienced Data Engineer with 3+ years of experience and strong communication skills
• Required skills include Databricks architecture, Unity Catalog, Delta tables, data lineage, permissions, Databricks Genie, notebooks, advanced SQL, Python, and Azure
• Desired skills: Agent Bricks, Implementing Gen AI + RAG solutions in Databricks, Synapse, Synapse pipeline, ADF, Azure SQL pools, DevOps CI/CD, Databricks asset bundles, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), performance tuning
• Certifications preferred: Data Engineer Professional, Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer Associate
• Job requires timezone availability up to 11am CST
• Additional job requirements include 1 year experience as Java Developer, basic OOP, data structures and algorithms knowledge, familiarity with RESTful concepts, HTTP fundamentals, DBMS concepts (preferably MySQL), Git versioning, design patterns, multithreading, CI/CD, automated testing, and English proficiency at upper-intermediate level or higher

• Work with a team of 3 engineers on Databricks
• Implement, test, and maintain backend components and services in Java and Spring Boot under guidance
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs with focus on correctness and performance
• Write and maintain unit tests and support integration testing efforts
• Use Git for version control and code review processes
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues and fixing bugs
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines ensuring build and deployment processes
• Contribute to retrospectives and identify process or code improvements
• Follow company policies and maintain effective communication and teamwork
