Go Developer (Fitness Operations)

VASA Fitness is a fast-growing fitness operator building a modern technology platform to support its clubs, members, and operations. The engineering program includes multiple feature domains such as Classes, KidCare, Personal Training, Memberships, Subscription & Billing, and Club Setup, with a focus on using AI and agentic development to increase engineering velocity while maintaining quality.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive hands-on production experience with Go, including API development, design patterns, concurrency, testing, and engineering best practices.
• Strong experience with software architecture and system design.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents and working with agentic development workflows.
• Experience with developer tooling, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and become productive.
• Excellent technical judgment and customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to influence technical decisions, navigate disagreements, and build consensus.
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• Provide hands-on Go engineering support to accelerate critical feature development.
• Improve development velocity, code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Improve the agent harness, skills, tools, context, workflows, and validation to increase agent autonomy and reduce human intervention.
• Establish reusable Go patterns and engineering standards for engineers and AI agents.
• Stay current with agentic development trends and rapidly test promising new tools and approaches.
• Use small POCs to validate technical approaches and resolve disagreements quickly.
• Identify bottlenecks, defects, and rework and turn lessons learned into reusable improvements across teams.
• Work cooperatively with existing Architects and Tech Leads without causing unnecessary technology or process churn.
• Clearly communicate technical options, risks, and tradeoffs to customer stakeholders.
• Constructively challenge approaches while finding pragmatic compromises balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.
