Technical Product Manager - AI Stockbroking App

KIRA is a company on a mission to make money smart, reliable, and accessible to everyone. In 2019, they built the first mobile-first insurance platform for millions in Southeast Asia, currently the leading platform in the region. They are expanding to provide tools for spending, saving, investing, and more, using AI to enhance financial expertise and ease. The company operates globally with a diverse team of over 20 nationalities working remotely and from offices.

• Significant experience in product leadership owning complex technical products end-to-end.
• Strong judgement and decisiveness under ambiguity with ability to balance ambition and technical, regulatory, and operational realities.
• Solid technical foundation in system design including boundaries, datastores, queues/workflows, APIs, failure modes, and concurrency consistency.
• Ability to read, review, and challenge design documents and sketch architectures and sequences.
• Experience in regulated or high-consequence domains such as payments, banking, remittance, or insurance.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based AI products, including evaluation and managing model limitations and human-in-the-loop scenarios.

Nice to have:

• Engineering or highly technical Product Manager background.
• Experience in zero-to-one product development and shipping AI-heavy consumer products.
• Defined evaluation metrics for ML/LLM systems.
• AI UX and failure-handling intuition.
• Southeast Asia market experience.

• Own a vertical end-to-end product, managing outcomes, metrics, and a prioritized backlog.
• Shape technical design aspects including system boundaries, money-movement correctness, failure handling, security, latency, scalability, and recovery.
• Make and defend trade-offs involving correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and user experience.
• Treat regulated constraints (licensing, CDD/KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, data residency, privacy) as primary product inputs.
• Define appropriate AI usage including decisions, human oversight, evaluation, and uncertainty handling.
• Ship features behind flags and go live as regulatory and partner gates clear.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance/Reconciliation teams.

This is a remote role open globally. English is the main working language, and strong English communication skills are required.
