Mid AI/ML Engineer

We are a small, independent startup operating within the Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel Group. We build production AI/ML and data-intensive systems including recommender systems, distributed applications, and ML-powered products.

• Valid work permit for Poland and Polish tax residency.
• Proficiency in Polish (C2) and English (B2).
• Willingness for long-term collaboration.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first collaborative environment.
• Willingness to maintain respectful and collaborative communication.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Solid understanding of software design, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, and optionally TensorFlow.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
• Experience with containerized applications using Docker.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and/or Redis.
• Experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with vector databases.
• Experience writing automated tests and maintaining test coverage.

Nice to have:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with message brokers or streaming platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with search and indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch.

• Develop and integrate AI/ML models and algorithms.
• Perform data processing and experiments.
• Engage in backend development tasks.
• Contribute to maintaining clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications with Docker.
• Collaborate on architectural and technological decisions.

AI/ML focus:

• Work on recommendation systems (collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, custom algorithms).
• Develop LLM-based content enrichment.
• Implement vector search and retrieval.
