Senior Fullstack Engineer (Node.js + React)

First Connect Insurance Services is a digital marketplace providing independent insurance agents access to top US carriers and various insurance policies such as home, auto, and small business. The company focuses on overhauling the technology available to agents by delivering consumer-grade software and supports thousands of active agents with growth plans.

• 4+ years of commercial fullstack development experience with a backend focus.
• Proficient with NestJS services and PostgreSQL query writing.
• Comfortable using Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Product-oriented thinking connecting technical decisions to business needs.
• Startup mindset with ownership and ability to work in ambiguous environments.
• Based in Poland with flexibility for partial US time zone overlap.
• Fluent in English (C1) and Polish (C1).

Nice to have:

• Advanced SQL performance tuning, indexing strategies, and large dataset handling.

• Work on real-time data integrations and commission systems with a backend/data focus and some frontend data presentation.
• Develop and enhance incentive programs including the Rewards Program (Shared Growth Plan).
• Maintain and improve existing backend and frontend data pipelines.
• Build and maintain integrations with multiple external data sources ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Apply a product mindset to align technical work with agent, carrier, and business needs.
• Write clean, maintainable code with an emphasis on testing culture.
• Use modern tooling and AI as part of the development workflow.
