Senior Python Developer

Arcanys launched in 2010 to help entrepreneurs and innovators from Australia, Europe and other parts of the globe accelerate their software development with dedicated remote engineers from the Philippines.

• At least 5+ years of experience in Python, with proven independent and technical leadership.
• Experience designing systems and building complex pipelines and workflows end to end.
• Fluency in AI-assisted development, with genuine curiosity about advancing and adopting these tools.
• Comfortable reading, reviewing, optimizing, and refactoring large codebases following sound engineering practices.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, Git, and RESTful / RPC services.
• Familiarity with Django (4.2+) is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English, collaborative mindset, and high ownership.

Nice to have:

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• DevOps experience with containers, CI/CD, automated deployments, and monitoring/alerting on database and web-server performance.
• Foundational knowledge of linear algebra, matrix operations, transformations, statistics, and probability.
• Experience with Python numerical and 3D libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Open3D, and PyTorch.

• Own the technical direction of the system and define its architecture in collaboration with the CTO.
• Design and build complex data and processing pipelines and workflows, especially around 3D and visualization data.
• Provide technical direction to a small cross-functional team.
• Drive AI-assisted development workflow, including multi-agent orchestration with specialized agents.
• Proactively surface and drive system improvements.
• Produce clean, well-tested code; review, debug, and document code.
