Surveily is an AI safety and operations intelligence company for industrial workplaces. They develop an AI and video-analytics product that transforms existing camera infrastructure into an intelligent system detecting hazards in real time to prevent incidents. Their platform integrates with 95% of existing digital cameras, significantly improving safety visibility and reducing incidents. The role contributes directly by creating 3D content that trains computer-vision models for real industrial site safety.

• Minimum 3 years professional 3D experience in games, VFX, simulation, archviz, or synthetic data with strong Blender skills in modeling, UVs, texturing, and materials.
• Hands-on experience with OpenUSD, including composition, debugging stages, and fixing hierarchy or axis issues.
• Proficient in Python for running, configuring, and lightly modifying pipeline scripts.
• Awareness of computer vision concepts relevant to synthetic data, such as annotation types, domain randomisation, and sim-to-real gap.
• High ownership, discipline, planning skills, and honest communication to ensure reliable and self-directed delivery.
• Communicative in English and Polish for daily team collaboration.

Nice to have:

• Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, or Replicator.
• Experience training or evaluating detection models like YOLO.
• Familiarity with PBR workflows, Substance Painter/Designer, or photogrammetry.
• Experience with Git or other version control for asset management.
• Comfort using AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in daily workflow.
• Exposure to industrial, logistics, or safety environments.

Asset Creation (Blender):

• Model, texture, and optimize 3D assets such as industrial equipment, vehicles, people, PPE, props, and environment elements.
• Export assets to USD with correct scale, pivots, hierarchies, naming, materials, and semantic labels.
• Manage polycount, texture budgets, and LODs suitable for large-scale batch rendering.

USD Library Stewardship:

• Edit, repair, and extend existing OpenUSD assets and scenes, handling composition arcs, layering, materials, and semantics.
• Maintain a versioned and documented library for predictable reuse.
• Validate assets before library inclusion to catch errors preventing failed training runs.

Synthetic Data Generation:

• Operate the SDG process end-to-end, including batch configuration, scene selection, domain randomisation, and annotation for YOLO training.
• Monitor generation runs, verify output and label quality, and deliver clean, documented datasets on schedule.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to address model underperformance by modifying assets or randomisations and regenerating data.
