Go Embedded Software Engineer

Verkada Poland focuses on building embedded Linux device ecosystems such as Cameras, Access Control, Alarms, and Environmental Sensors. The team works closely with hardware vendors, ME/EE personnel, server and UI engineers, industrial designers, and operations, delivering products that improve safety.

• Deep, demonstrated experience with Go, including standard libraries, concurrency patterns, and developer tools (profiling, benchmarking, debugging).
• Good hands-on experience with Embedded Linux user space and hardware-software interaction.
• Proven track record building and scaling resilient distributed systems using service-oriented architectures.
• Solid mastery of modern networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, gRPC, WebSockets, and WebRTC.
• Proficiency with Python and Bash for tooling, test automation, and systems scripting.
• Practical familiarity with C or C++ for low-level systems engineering and performance-critical code.
• Working knowledge of electrical circuits and experience using lab equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) to debug hardware-software boundaries.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining services within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.

• Be a part of a team owning the entire product lifecycle from ideation through deployment and maintenance.
• Architect resilient embedded systems and conduct validation against technical and functional requirements.
• Build high-performance features across embedded Linux devices prioritizing user experience.
• Extend core backend services implemented in Go and Python.
• Improve and maintain internal developer tools and infrastructure.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve critical technical issues affecting field devices and end users.
• Travel to partner foundries and manufacturing facilities to support new hardware bring-up and validation.
