Software Engineer II - React Native - Krak

Payward is the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks. • 3+ years of software development experience focusing on web or mobile applications
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on experience with React Native
• Experience integrating and consuming APIs with attention to security and mobile performance
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and modern frontend build pipelines and tooling
• Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and passion for building intuitive, performant consumer experiences
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with native mobile app development (iOS/Android)
• Experience developing micro-interactions and animations in React Native
• Experience with Next.js and WebSockets
• Experience in large technology organizations or fast-growing startups
• Hands-on experience in consumer payments, crypto, or fintech mobile applications
• Working knowledge of Rust, Go, or C++ and familiarity with async architectures, APIs, and microservices
• Experience building large-scale consumer or financial products
• Contributions to open-source or broader engineering community

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript
• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned Krak features from technical design through release and post-launch iteration
• Build maintainable, performant, and resilient screens and components following architecture and design patterns
• Write clean, well-tested code and actively participate in code reviews applying team engineering standards
• Contribute to technical design discussions within the pod, proposing clear trade-offs
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Rust backend engineers to deliver features with customer value
• Help improve code quality, shared components, and tooling, keeping current with the React Native ecosystem
