Lead Software QA Automation Engineer

Arcanys is a privately owned company with over 300 employees and 10-20% annual growth, working with startups and mid-sized companies to scale their development teams and investing in technology startups through its Arcanys Ventures arm.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15-20 years of progressive Quality Assurance experience with leadership roles.
• Mastery of test automation principles and frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress.
• Experience in designing and managing training and development programs for QA professionals.
• Proven leadership in building and mentoring high-performance QA teams.
• Deep knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and types (Functional, Non-Functional, Performance, Security, Usability).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.

Department Leadership and Development:

• Lead, inspire, and mentor a QA team, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Provide training paths and conduct performance evaluations.
• Champion continuous learning within the QA team.

Test Automation Mastery & Strategy:

• Define and implement test automation strategies and frameworks.
• Drive adoption of automation tools and best practices.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as primary QA contact for cross-functional teams including Development, Product Management, and Senior Leadership.
• Collaborate to integrate QA processes into the development lifecycle.

Process Management and Continuous Improvement:

• Establish and refine QA processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement data-driven solutions and assist QA audits.

Ad Hoc Tasks:

• Manage projects and responsibilities as needed.
