QA Engineer( Remote from Poland)

• Experience in internationalization and localization testing, especially for mobile and physical devices.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and QA best practices.
• Technical knowledge of character encoding standards such as UTF-8 and UTF-16, ICU standards, CLDR data, and resource file formats including JSON, XML, .po, .strings, and XLIFF.
• Familiarity with Bidirectional (BiDi / RTL) layout handling.
• Experience using device testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Kobiton.
• Solid understanding of iOS tools and utilities like TestFlight, Xcode logs, and Android tools such as ADB, Logcat, and APK installation.
• Basic experience with API debugging tools such as Charles Proxy, Fiddler, and Postman.
• Basic understanding of test automation concepts or scripting.
• Experience testing IoT devices, wearables, or embedded systems.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing standards such as WCAG, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
• Experience with defect management platforms like Jira.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and regional regulatory, privacy, or cultural standards in key markets like EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.

• Conduct device and hardware testing across iOS, Android tablets/phones, desktops, and smart home and health devices.
• Develop, update, and execute comprehensive test plans, functional test cases, and exploratory test scenarios.
• Test applications for compatibility across varying system versions, screen resolutions, and hardware specs.
• Identify, reproduce, and document bugs using tracking tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Perform regression and sanity testing before production releases.
• Validate application architecture for internationalization support including Unicode/UTF-8, string externalization, and bi-directional text handling.
• Verify localized UI elements across multiple languages for accuracy and formatting compliance.
• Conduct pseudo-localization builds during development to identify hard-coded strings and layout errors.
• Review UI for visual integrity across screen sizes; coordinate linguistic reviews with translation agencies.
• Manage translation asset workflows using Translation Management Systems such as Smartling, Phrase, and Transifex.
