Senior Go Engineer (Payment Gateway Solutions)

Colibrix One develops cutting-edge IT solutions for Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), and neobanking platforms across the European Union and the UK. They specialize in secure, scalable, and high-performance payment technologies that support financial innovation across the digital economy.

• 3–5 years of Go development experience on backend systems
• Approximately 5 years of fintech application experience
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design including REST and RPC
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, message brokers like Kafka, NATS, and caching systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, preferably GitLab
• Experience with AWS cloud platform
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical ideas
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Russian
• Security-by-design mindset with knowledge of PCI DSS, GDPR
• Experience with performance optimization and high-availability systems
• Experience using observability tools: logging, metrics, tracing (including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience integrating with external payment providers, processors, or anti-fraud systems

• Design and develop Go-based services focusing on stability, fault tolerance, and financial operation handling
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications including API design, data models, and external integrations
• Build solutions compliant with PCI DSS, secure data handling, and inter-service communication
• Analyze and optimize service performance including code profiling and concurrency handling
• Participate in microservices architecture decisions: service boundaries, communication patterns, load balancing, error handling, queues/streaming, data storage
• Write maintainable, testable code with unit and integration tests
• Participate in code reviews providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to technical discussions with practical solutions within current architecture and processes
