Fullstack Developer - AI and API Platform Portal

Nordea is a Nordic bank undergoing technological transformation to modernize its technology and data estate and accelerate AI-enabled capabilities adoption. The Integration and AI engineering team builds self-service capabilities enabling teams to integrate with core platforms such as Kafka and Kong, facilitating scalable API and event-driven integration. The team collaborates closely with DevOps engineers, developers, UI/UX designers, product owners, architects, and platform stakeholders.

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Professional experience as a fullstack, backend, or frontend developer.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with React.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

Nice to have:

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure.
• Experience with Kong API Management.
• Experience with Material UI (MUI).
• Experience or interest in AI-related technologies and integrations such as Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-powered user experiences and automation, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Develop and maintain backend and frontend components of the self-service portal, implementing new capabilities.
• Build backend services using Spring Boot.
• Create frontend features with React, TypeScript, and Material UI.
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations between the gateway and internal applications or external vendors.
• Design and consume REST APIs for reliable, maintainable, and well-structured service interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality platform capabilities.
• Contribute to future AI-driven features and integrations within the platform, supporting LLMs, MCP, and A2A.
