Product Owner - Cloud Landing Zone Services Azure

Nordea is a large Nordic bank undergoing technological transformation with a focus on secure and responsible finance. The role is within the Cloud Engineering team providing secure and reliable cloud foundations to enable better digital services across the bank. The team supports Azure-based Cloud Landing Zone Services for multi-cloud strategy.

Experience:

• 8+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• 3+ years as Product Owner, Platform Owner, Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or Architect.
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
• Agile delivery model experience.
• Managing technical roadmaps and backlogs.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code.
• Proficiency with GitHub or Git workflows, pull requests.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud security controls.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Networking and cloud connectivity expertise.
• Identity and Access Management knowledge.
• Observability and monitoring tools.

Leadership Skills:

• Excellent stakeholder management.
• Strong communication and influencing abilities.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution.
• Ability to challenge and drive decisions across senior stakeholders.

Product Ownership:

• Own the roadmap and vision for Azure.
• Prioritize platform capabilities balancing business, security, compliance, and technical debt.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog collaboratively.
• Define and track KPIs, adoption metrics, reliability targets, and satisfaction.
• Present roadmap, risks, and achievements to leadership and governance.

Cloud Engineering:

• Contribute actively to Terraform and Infrastructure as Code development.
• Conduct code reviews and pull request approvals.
• Review and challenge technical designs and implementation.
• Support engineering teams with solution design and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, platform standards, and reusable modules.
• Ensure security, resilience, and compliance of services.
• Participate in incident reviews and platform improvements.

Platform Strategy & Architecture:

• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Risk, and Operations teams.
• Drive standardization and simplification of cloud platform services.
• Evolve Landing Zone to support AI, Data, Kubernetes, Serverless, and Developer Platforms.
• Engage with Microsoft on roadmap alignment.
• Identify optimization, automation, and cost reduction opportunities.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build relationships across engineering, application, security, and business teams.
• Gather platform consumer feedback and translate to priorities.
• Drive consensus and decision-making across stakeholders.
• Represent Cloud Engineering in governance, transformation, and audits.

Accountability:

• Product vision, roadmap, backlog prioritization.
• Platform adoption, customer satisfaction, delivery of planned capabilities.
• Maintain Landing Zone engineering standards.
• Ensure platform reliability, resilience, security, compliance.
• Technical quality of platform changes and code review governance.
