Senior NLP Data Scientist

Startup developing AI products that support doctors in analyzing medical documentation and automate insurance case handling by extracting information from scanned medical documents to make insurance decisions. The team includes about 15 people with data scientists, programmers, doctors, and managers, including a 6-person experienced data science team.

• Higher education in a STEM field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in NLP, including projects involving training LLM and named entity recognition (NER)
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Practical knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow and the Hugging Face ecosystem
• Understanding transformer architectures and experience with fine-tuning them
• Experience preparing, cleaning, and annotating textual corpora
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and experience deploying models to production (API, monitoring, versioning experiments, e.g., MLflow)
• Fluent Polish (C2) and English at least B2 level (reading documentation and scientific articles)
• Ability to lead projects from business discussion through research to deployment and communicate results to non-technical stakeholders
• Responsibility, communication skills, and teamwork ability

• Developing and advancing NLP solutions based on deep learning, LLM, and classical ML methods
• Participating in model deployments with clients
• Maintaining and improving existing models
