Forward Deployment Engineer with AI

• Full-stack AI application development with UI, backend, and AI/LLM integration
• Backend development using Python with FastAPI or Flask; user interfaces with Streamlit, Databricks Apps, or lightweight React
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex or Databricks Genie for configuration and integration
• Construction of RAG pipelines involving chunking, embeddings, vector search (e.g., Pinecone, pgvector, Chroma, FAISS, Azure AI Search, Snowflake Cortex Search), retrieval evaluation, grounding, citation
• Use of LLM application frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex
• Skilled in prompt engineering with evaluation against accuracy and hallucination metrics
• Fluency with cloud data platforms Snowflake and/or Databricks plus at least one cloud provider (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable)
• Proficiency with SQL and data modeling for governed datasets and semantic models
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern development workflows owning deployment paths
• API design and integration with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Coupa, ERP) via REST APIs
• Basic MLOps knowledge including model and prompt versioning, evaluation harnesses, observability tools (e.g., LangSmith, Datadog, Application Insights)
• Strong communication skills for direct interaction with Finance stakeholders
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and prototype-driven development
• Product-shaped thinking focusing on user adoption and business outcomes
• Willingness to write throwaway code and manage change for adoption support

Nice to have:

• Experience in Pharma, life sciences, or CPG Finance domains
• Familiarity with enterprise Finance tools like Veeva CRM, IQVIA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, Oracle Financials, Workday Adaptive
• Experience in regulated environment delivery (SOX, GxP, data residency, audit trails)
• Certifications: Snowflake Cortex, Databricks, or Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102)
• Prior roles as FDE, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Field Engineer at Palantir, Snowflake, Databricks, OpenAI, Anthropic
• Startup or small-team experience with multiple responsibilities
• Experience with agentic workflows (multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop, tool-calling) in production

Domain skills — Finance focus:

• Working understanding of Finance processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, plan-to-report, close cycles, FP&A, statutory and tax reporting)
• Familiarity with Finance data (general ledger, cost centers, profit centers, chart of accounts, hierarchies, allocations, KPIs like revenue, EBITDA, OPEX, working capital, DSO, DPO)
• Ability to translate Finance language (variance analysis, forecasts vs actuals, budget vs actual, trend analysis, scenario planning)
• Understanding importance of trusted, auditable, lineage-tracked governed enterprise data in regulated environments

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI solutions for specific Finance business problems from definition through deployment and adoption
• Translate ambiguous, evolving business requirements into working software without formal specifications
• Build vertical AI applications rapidly using Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Genie, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows
• Prototype functional apps within 1-2 weeks and iterate based on user feedback
• Deploy solutions inside customer's regulated environments respecting governance, RBAC, data residency, audit, and compliance
• Instrument solutions with usage metrics, adoption tracking, and business outcome telemetry
• Handle last mile usability aspects including data quirks, business rule exceptions, user training, and change management
• Work directly with Finance stakeholders such as CFO office, FP&A, controllership, treasury, procurement
• Build reusable patterns and shared assets for other FDEs
• Own measurable business outcomes beyond just code deployment
