Senior Java/Kotlin Engineer

• Over 7 years of professional experience as Integration Engineer or Software Engineer focused on backend development.
• More than 3 years of leadership or senior technical leadership experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin with deep experience in Quarkus framework.
• Hands-on expertise with Temporal for workflow orchestration and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with messaging systems, particularly Apache Kafka.
• Deep understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch and Redis.
• Expert-level experience building and consuming RESTful APIs following OpenAPI standards.
• Advanced knowledge of security principles and best practices including data encryption, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
• Excellent problem-solving, architectural thinking, debugging, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with Apache Camel, financial services or fintech industry experience, knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Argo Workflows), and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

• Architect and oversee design of high-quality, scalable, reliable integrations using Java, Kotlin, Quarkus, and Temporal.
• Lead development and management of connectors to third-party systems such as core banking platforms (e.g., Mambu, Saascada, Tuum), payment gateways, using Apache Camel.
• Design and orchestrate complex business workflows using Temporal, establishing best practices.
• Lead and mentor a team of integration engineers with technical guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration architecture and requirements.
• Establish and enforce security and integrity standards including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Drive continuous improvement of integration platforms, processes, and engineering practices.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex integration issues and architectural challenges.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance integration capabilities.
