Senior Java Developer

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development in an Agile team
• Experience with Java 7/8, Java EE, Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Messaging, JPA, ORM), and Maven
• Full stack skills and a passion for mentoring team members
• Experience creating cloud native microservices and event-driven systems in Java
• Knowledge of integration gateways, monitoring tools, and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana)
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB, and Apache Kafka
• Experience working with RESTful API, Single sign-on, OAuth, LDAP, and search technologies
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Git (branching, merging, tagging, pull requests)
• Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g., Jenkins
• Experience with unit testing frameworks, e.g., JUnit
• Knowledge of design patterns, refactoring, continuous deployment, scalable applications, and application security
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with AI assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of functional programming
• Experience with structured use of GenAI in SDLC
• Interest in AI-based practices (agents, automation, AI-augmented development)

• Develop creative and efficient solutions using Agile practices and modern web technologies
• Create user stories, design prototype tests, and continuously deliver product improvements
• Negotiate deadlines, deliverables, and dependencies with other teams
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Designers to identify product risks and delivery issues
• Model and implement best engineering practices and Agile behaviors within the team
• Communicate with business stakeholders about Agile processes and schedules
• Own best practices for automation including continuous integration and deployment
• Occasionally travel to client site in Dubai (a few weeks per year)
