Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Linux & Virtualization Platform)

Link Group is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Virtualized Host Platform (VHP) team, focusing on maintaining a global compute platform used in their services. The role centers on Linux internals, virtualization technologies, and automation for large-scale infrastructure.

• Expert-level knowledge of Linux internals, kernel, drivers, and hardware
• Deep practical experience with virtualization technologies, especially KVM/QEMU
• Strong diagnostic skills to identify root causes across physical environment, firmware, kernel, and user space applications
• Proficient in software development with Python and shell scripting
• Significant experience in Senior SRE or development roles on large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams

• Develop expert understanding of the entire virtualized host stack from hardware and BIOS/UEFI to Linux kernel and KVM/QEMU virtualization layer
• Write automation and operational tools using Python and shell scripting
• Manage large-scale infrastructure automation with tools like SaltStack, Ansible, or Chef
• Design and implement advanced monitoring and observability systems
• Handle complex system-level incident investigations involving hardware, firmware, and software
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure service stability and incident restoration
• Collaborate effectively with support, operations, and engineering teams
