Senior Back-end Engineer - PHP, Node.js (remote within EMEA)

• Good level of English (spoken and written).
• 5+ years in Backend development with proficiency in either PHP or Node.js and willingness to learn the other.
• Strong expertise in high-load architecture, Distributed Systems, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and CQRS.
• Solid background in software engineering principles and best practices including SOLID, TDD, CI/CD, Agile.
• Comfortable using Claude as an LLM partner for thinking, architectural brainstorming, and code generation.
• Skilled in debugging, unit testing, and optimizing application performance.
• Product-minded approach prioritizing work based on business impact with a strong sense of ownership.

• Write and ship high-quality, scalable code while identifying and addressing areas for improvement across the codebase.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders applying product thinking to technical decisions.
• Contribute actively to the team through code reviews, refactoring, testing, and pair programming.
• Take ownership of the design and execution of initiatives, driving prioritized bug fixes and platform improvements.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing activities and continuously develop technical and soft skills through best practices.
