Senior Scala engineer

The engineering team builds and maintains a high-load programmatic infrastructure handling millions of ad requests per second with low latency.

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 1+ years of experience programming in Scala
• 2+ years of experience programming in Java
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing and implementing microservices in high-capacity, high-traffic, high-availability systems
• Agile development practice experience

Nice to have:

• Advertising technology experience
• Experience with Python
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Bigtable, Aerospike)
• Experience with distributed messaging services like Kafka or PubSub
• Skills in data engineering, cloud infrastructure management (AWS or GCP), and familiarity with Git/Bitbucket

• Own design, implementation, and testing across SSP, Adserver, and Exchange products
• Drive migration of core platform components from Scala to Java
• Partner with engineers, architects, and Operations to ship enhancements and resolve issues
• Lead technical discussions and propose improvements to product and process
• Troubleshoot issues across application, underlying technologies, and infrastructure
• Continuously develop technical depth across the stack
• Ship quality work on schedule while improving developer productivity organization-wide
• Use AI development tools to streamline product development process
