Data Migration Architect

ITFS is the company offering a remote position requiring occasional business trips within the EU approximately 1-2 times every two months.

• Experience as a GCP Data Architect with a focus on migrations to BigQuery
• Deep experience with legacy environments, including mandatory knowledge of Teradata
• Proven successful experience in Cloud Database, Data Lake, and comprehensive data migration strategies
• Practical knowledge of Databricks, DataProc, and Data Streaming SIG initiatives
• Proficiency in programming with Java or Python and advanced optimization of SQL queries
• Higher technical education
• Fluent English language skills (minimum C1 level)
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips within the EU (approximately 1-2 times every two months)

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Oracle / Exadata
• Knowledge of the Italian language

• Design and execution of complex migration strategies for data, databases, and data warehouses to the cloud
• Architecture and implementation of large-scale migrations to BigQuery
• Optimization of performance for complex database workloads and SQL queries
• Support initiatives in the Data Streaming SIG and work within the data ecosystem
• Development and support of solutions using Java or Python along with tools like Databricks and DataProc

Requires occasional business travel within the EU approximately 1-2 times every two months
