Junior Developer Relations Advocate

Tyk Technologies develops the Tyk API Management platform which helps organizations connect various systems and services. Founded in 2015 with offices in London (UK and Ontario), Atlanta, and Singapore, Tyk serves thousands of users globally across industries such as retail, finance, telecoms, healthcare, and media. Their clients include brands like Lotte, Bell, T Mobile, RBS, Capital One, and Vinci.

• Enthusiastic attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong communication skills.
• Technical ability to read code and understand architecture; a CS degree is welcome but not required.
• Experience creating content (writing, video, talks) even from personal or academic projects.
• Comfortable speaking to small groups and engaging in community events.
• Strong creator's instinct and curiosity about APIs, AI, AI governance, and infrastructure trends.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
• Self-directed and energized by working in a small, fast-moving team.
• Regular user of AI tools with understanding of AI-assisted vs. AI-generated content.

Nice to have:

• Existing presence in developer communities such as blogs, YouTube channels, or talks.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, observability tooling, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with API management concepts.

• Produce regular written and video content on API management, AI, API governance, observability, and customer implementation stories.
• Publish hands-on tutorials and ecosystem guides covering technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, OAS, and GraphQL.
• Share learnings publicly including challenges and rough edges.
• Attend and speak at developer meetups and conferences across Europe.
• Engage authentically in online and offline developer communities.
• Provide community insights to product and marketing teams.
• Own and grow specific developer marketing channels (e.g., YouTube, blog, Reddit).
• Experiment with and measure marketing initiatives.
