Linux Embedded Software Engineer

Verkada Poland is building a team culture with small autonomous teams working on embedded software that integrates hardware with server and UI engineering. The company focuses on projects that improve safety and ships work regularly to customers.

• 3+ years of experience with embedded Linux
• Strong, hands-on C skills to create, extend, and debug production codebase
• Solid Linux fundamentals: processes, IPC, filesystems, boot flow, on-target debugging, networking
• Experience with multi-layered build system (Yocto/Buildroot)
• Bash scripting and CLI tools (tar, find, grep, sed)
• Experience with Git
• Communicative in Polish and English (written and spoken)

• Develop features for Linux embedded platforms including access control, intercoms, and alarms
• Bring up and integrate full stack: build system, kernel, drivers, and userspace on real hardware
• Develop userspace applications
• Debug across the stack
• Define architecture and design new features
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept
• Take projects from inception through deployment to customer support
• Support the manufacturing process
