Senior Scala Engineer

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend application development and distributed systems.
• Very good knowledge of Scala and experience in the JVM ecosystem.
• Nice to have prior experience with Java, C#, or Go.
• Good knowledge of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and REST API design and implementation.
• Experience in database design, relational data models, normalization, and query performance optimization.
• Knowledge of concurrency, parallel programming, and designing scalable systems.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Akka/Pekko, Cats Effect, ZIO, or FS2.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.

• Designing and developing backend applications in Scala.
• Building and developing scalable distributed systems.
• Designing and implementing APIs and microservice architecture.
• Optimizing application performance and resolving scaling issues.
• Collaborating with product teams, DevOps, and QA to design and deploy new features.
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring high code quality.
• Identifying and implementing best practices for architecture and software development.
