Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Data Platform)

On behalf of our client, a global leader in cloud and content delivery, we are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join a critical team at the heart of their global infrastructure. This team is responsible for a massive data pipeline that collects telemetry from hundreds of thousands of servers and delivers this vital data to customers for analytics and reporting.

• Deep, hands-on experience engineering and operating large-scale, distributed data systems.
• Practical experience with modern NoSQL databases, with a strong preference for Cassandra or MongoDB.
• At least 5 years of experience as an SRE or Systems/Infrastructure Engineer managing mission-critical distributed systems.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, Go, or Java for automation and tooling.
• Strong foundation in Linux/Unix administration and low-level system troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of complex problems and deliver production-grade solutions.

• Engineer world-class data systems ensuring data integrity, availability, and low-latency performance, primarily with Cassandra and MongoDB.
• Serve as the highest technical escalation point for complex reliability and performance issues across global infrastructure.
• Design and build observability frameworks using tools like Prometheus and Grafana for real-time health monitoring.
• Develop high-quality automation and internal tooling with Python, Go, or Java to streamline operations and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Network teams to influence architecture and deliver scalable long-term reliability solutions.
