Platform Architect (Microsoft Fabric)

The company has over thirty years of expertise in custom software, product, and platform engineering. The role supports a strategic initiative to build a unified One-Data Platform based on Microsoft Fabric for an enterprise-scale client.

• 10+ years in data, software, or platform architecture, including 3+ years as a Platform or Data Architect in enterprise-scale environments
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric components, including OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Factory, Power BI, and Synapse
• Deep knowledge of Azure data services: ADLS, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience with Lakehouse architecture, Medallion architecture, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark
• Expertise in data modeling, data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging
• Experience with DataOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Azure DevOps
• Solid understanding of cloud security, RBAC, data privacy, and GDPR compliance
• Proven delivery of large-scale data platform modernization and migration projects
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, leadership, and mentoring skills

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the One-Data Platform built on Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, and Real-Time Analytics
• Lead and provide technical guidance to engineering teams throughout the platform lifecycle
• Define reference architectures, design patterns, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) aligned with enterprise standards
• Drive technology decisions and establish best practices for data engineering, DataOps, platform operations, and governance
• Lead migration and consolidation of legacy data ecosystems into Microsoft Fabric
• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to ensure GDPR and enterprise policy alignment
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform and data engineering teams
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions and roadmaps
• Act as a trusted advisor on data platform architecture, modernization, and technology strategy
