Windows Platform Engineer

DCG is a recruitment company supporting clients with experienced specialists, focusing on partnership cooperation and continual support. They are expanding due to growth and multiple recruitment projects.

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in administration and engineering of Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and core network services such as DNS and DHCP.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills using PowerShell.
• Extensive practical experience with SCCM, especially in patch management and configuration.
• Experience in infrastructure automation, CI/CD processes, and working with Git and Jira.
• Good knowledge of hybrid environments combining on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.
• Familiarity with infrastructure areas such as networking, storage, virtualization, backup, high availability clusters (failover clustering), and disaster recovery.
• Strong problem-solving and failure diagnosis skills.
• Very good English communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with automation based on AI or concepts of self-healing infrastructure.
• Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python or other programming languages.

• Re-design and improve Windows patch management processes using SCCM.
• Design and implement infrastructure automation with PowerShell and CI/CD.
• Create and maintain Group Policies (GPO) and baseline Windows security configurations.
• Act as a specialist for Windows operating systems and broader infrastructure elements including Active Directory, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Support creation and automated deployment of new Windows system images.
• Support migration of on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments.
• Collaborate closely with the Platform Owner and Scrum team on backlog and platform improvements.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and administrative support for Windows Server environments.
• Create technical documentation for engineers, architects, and end users.
• Identify and implement improvements enhancing automation, stability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Work within the SAFe / Scrum delivery model.
