Expert Java Developer and Tech Lead, Safekeeping team

Group Technology at Nordea focuses on engineering solutions to support the bank's transformation and business strategy. The Safekeeping and Corporate Actions Development team develops and modernizes integrations of the Safekeeping system with Nordea's IT landscape, working on around 20 microservices with decoupled components connected via Kafka, MQ, REST services, and API Gateway.

• Fluent in Java, SQL, and English
• At least 12 years of software development experience in large scale enterprises with progression to technical leadership
• Experience with Maven, Spring Boot, Spring Integration
• Knowledge of Oracle database
• Experience with messaging systems: IBM MQ and Kafka
• Testing skills with JUnit and TestContainers
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Bamboo
• Ownership mentality and ability to seek answers when solutions are not known
• Comfortable working in a multinational environment

• Designing, building, and enhancing integration components connecting the Safekeeping system with other Nordea systems
• Taking ownership of overall technical quality, establishing coding standards, and maintaining a backlog of technical and architectural improvements
• Mentoring and guiding team members in technical best practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Leading technical architecture decisions in collaboration with solution and enterprise architects
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Representing technical competence in cross-functional meetings and Scrum ceremonies
• Driving technical estimates, identifying risks, and proposing solutions to complex integration challenges
• Implementing monitoring, troubleshooting production issues, and establishing incident response procedures
