Tech Lead, Data Mesh and AI Platforms team

Group Technology at Nordea is focused on engineering solutions and leading the bank's transformation by modernizing technology and data estates, accelerating AI-enabled capabilities, and delivering platform capabilities for data and AI in a regulated banking environment.

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Security, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or similar technical leadership roles.
• Documented experience leading engineers and setting technical direction in complex environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of infrastructure, provisioning, automation, and Infrastructure as Code, with essential skill in Terraform.
• Experience with AI platform services and ecosystems such as AWS Bedrock/AgentCore, Google Gemini, or Azure AI Foundry.
• Strong understanding of identity provider integration, IAM, federation, secrets management, and secure access patterns.
• Experience building production-grade CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational controls.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs between speed, cost, scalability, resilience, and compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to act as subject matter expert for Cloud AI Platforms.

• Set the engineering direction for AI platform capabilities, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and operational resilience.
• Lead hands-on engineering work on cloud infrastructure, platform automation, CI/CD, provisioning, and infrastructure-as-code patterns.
• Design and mature secure platform foundations across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including identity provider integration and network/security controls.
• Drive adoption of AI platform services such as AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, Google Gemini, and Azure AI Foundry in a banking-grade environment.
• Coach engineers and foster a platform engineering culture focused on automation, repeatability, quality, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, architects, cybersecurity, and governance teams to align technical decisions with business and regulatory requirements.
• Own and communicate the technical roadmap balancing speed, scalability, cost, compliance, and reliability.
• Translate technical complexity into clear recommendations and updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
