Tech Lead - Google Cloud Platform Infrastructure, Data Mesh and AI Platforms team

Nordea is modernizing its technology and data estate while accelerating AI-enabled capabilities adoption in banking. The Data Mesh and AI Platforms team focuses on building cloud-native data and AI platform capabilities on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with strong emphasis on security, automation, identity integration, and operational resilience. The team collaborates with product owners, architects, cybersecurity, and governance to deliver compliant, production-ready solutions supporting predictive and generative AI as well as agentic workflows.

• Expert hands-on experience with GCP organization, projects, landing-zone patterns, Shared VPC, Cloud NAT, firewall policies, private connectivity, and environment isolation.
• Deep understanding of IAM design, least-privilege access, federation, workload identity, service accounts, secrets and key management, and policy guardrails.
• Excellent skills in Terraform including modular design, reusable patterns, versioning, state management, and promotion.
• Strong platform automation and CI/CD capabilities for provisioning, validation, deployment, policy management, release management, and lifecycle operations.
• Practical knowledge of GCP data and AI platform services: Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Experience in observability: logging, monitoring, alerting, SLOs, incident response, resilience patterns, cost controls, and production readiness.
• Proven hands-on technical leadership: setting direction, coaching, defining standards, documenting patterns, and clear communication.
• Education: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or technical leadership roles.

• Set engineering direction for GCP infrastructure and AI platform capabilities while being hands-on in design, build, and validation of platform patterns.
• Perform hands-on engineering with Terraform, CI/CD, GCP configuration, troubleshooting, and production readiness improvements.
• Lead engineering efforts across GCP infrastructure, platform automation, provisioning, and reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns.
• Design, mature, and operate secure GCP platform foundations including organization structure, landing-zone patterns, identity integration, IAM, networking, logging, and policy guardrails.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and platform patterns for provisioning standardized GCP environments.
• Drive pragmatic adoption of GCP data and AI services like Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, ensuring safe usage in banking-grade environment.
• Coach engineers through collaboration, code and design reviews, and practical delivery of reusable platform patterns.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, architects, cybersecurity, and governance teams to align technical decisions with business and regulatory requirements.
• Own and communicate the technical roadmap for GCP infrastructure balancing speed, cost, scalability, compliance, and reliability.
• Translate technical complexity into clear recommendations and updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
