Senior data analyst

Grid Dynamics (NASDAQ: GDYN) is a technology consulting provider specializing in platform and product engineering, AI, and advanced analytics services. The role supports a high-impact engineering initiative for a global American quick-service restaurant enterprise, focusing on advanced data movement, transformation patterns, and innovative data solutions.

• 5+ years of commercial data engineering experience with strong expertise in data modeling, data profiling, and pipeline design.
• Hands-on experience designing and building data architectures using the Medallion Architecture pattern (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Proven experience with high-volume, low-latency data movement and transformation patterns.
• Expertise in root-cause analysis and ad-hoc data investigations in large-scale data environments.
• Ability to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into engineering solutions and documentation.
• Exceptional technical communication skills in English and a collaborative team mindset.

Nice to have:

• Direct hands-on experience with the Databricks unified analytics platform (Delta Lake, PySpark/Spark SQL).
• Experience in QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), retail, e-commerce, or high-throughput consumer-facing sectors.
• Familiarity with real-time streaming technologies and low-latency message streaming frameworks.
• Exposure to modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).

• Perform comprehensive data profiling and exploration across structured and unstructured data sources to uncover operational insights.
• Conduct ad-hoc, root-cause, and what-if analytical investigations to troubleshoot data flow anomalies and support strategic business queries.
• Design and implement scalable Data Models supporting data movement, transformation patterns, and low-latency processing.
• Gather, refine, and manage technical and business requirements with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and architectural diagrams to support data platform scalability.
• Collaborate actively as a proactive team player, ensuring quality deliverables with a solution-oriented mindset.
