Test Automation Engineer (SQL+GCP)

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Software Tester or Tester of systems based on data pipelines
• Extensive experience with classic data warehouses and cloud warehouses on GCP Big Query
• Experience testing REST API and/or SOAP services
• Experience working with large data volumes
• Ability to analyze problems at the interface of applications, APIs, and data warehouses

• Designing, building, and manual/automated testing of business applications based on data warehouses
• Designing and creating tests for data, data integration, and data pipelines
• Ensuring high quality of data warehouse solutions, ETL/ELT processes, and system integrations
• Preparing and executing test scenarios, test cases, and test reports
• Verifying correctness of data flow between source systems, data warehouse, integration, and reporting layers
• Analyzing data quality and identifying discrepancies and errors
• Validating ETL/ELT processes
• Testing integrations between systems
• Testing REST API and SOAP services
• Verifying communication correctness between applications and services
• Analyzing logs and error messages
• Collaborating with business analysts, programmers, and data teams
• Preparing SQL queries to verify data correctness
• Participating in system, integration, regression, and UAT testing
• Documenting test results and reporting bugs in dedicated tools
• Designing and performing automated regression tests and automating tests in data pipelines
