Senior Software Engineer – Go (Golang)

Directio is a global IT services company consulting, coding, testing, deploying, and managing mainly cloud-based and mobile applications. They serve clients in FMCG, retail, automotive, and SaaS sectors and operate offices in Poland, the Philippines, Mexico, and the USA.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong knowledge of Go (Golang) fundamentals including structs, interfaces, channels, and goroutines
• Deep understanding of concurrency and parallel processing
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and backend systems
• Experience building distributed systems or microservices architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and modern software development tools
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data-driven applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams
• Availability to work US time zone hours until approximately 6:00–7:00 PM Polish time

Nice to have:

• Experience in automotive software development including infotainment systems, instrument clusters, or vehicle middleware
• Understanding of Vehicle Development Process (VDP) or similar automotive lifecycle processes
• Experience with system observability like logging, monitoring, tracing, and production support
• Experience with or exposure to safety-critical or real-time systems

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services, middleware, and platform applications for infotainment and connected vehicle systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance Go code ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and system resiliency
• Build high-throughput systems optimized for memory efficiency, low latency, and performance
• Contribute to system architecture and design aligned with platform and product requirements
• Own end-to-end defect lifecycle including root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Systems, Integration, Product, Platform, and Design
• Lead and participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions
• Mentor and support other engineers promoting best practices in development, testing, and system design
• Work according to Agile processes including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, and Retrospectives
• Follow client’s software development processes and architectural standards

Availability to work in the US time zone until approximately 6:00–7:00 PM Polish time and willingness to travel occasionally to the US for business purposes.
