Scrum Master

Ework Group is recruiting a Scrum Master for a client from the banking industry in Gdansk, Poland. The role involves strategic initiative delivery and Agile leadership in a technology-driven environment focused on financial services technology and Open Banking.

• Experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Project Manager, or Execution Leader in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-team coordination skills.
• Good understanding of API-based architectures, cloud technologies, infrastructure concepts, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of modern software development practices.
• Ability to engage with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders without hands-on technical expertise.
• Proven interest in AI-driven workflows and ability to promote AI, automation, and productivity solutions.

Nice to have:

• Experience working in financial services, banking, payments, Open Banking, or Embedded Banking.
• Understanding of Open Banking, digital platforms, or financial services technology ecosystems is an advantage.

Agile Leadership and Team Coaching:

• Facilitate and continuously improve Agile ways of working including Scrum and SAFe practices.
• Organize and lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews, backlog refinement, and PI Planning.
• Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and value-driven delivery.
• Foster a high-performing, self-organizing, cross-functional team culture.
• Monitor and improve team health, engagement, predictability, quality, and delivery performance.

Initiative and Delivery Leadership:

• Take ownership of strategic initiatives, epics, features, and cross-team deliveries, acting as primary execution leader.
• Create and maintain delivery plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risk logs, and execution tracking.
• Identify blockers, coordinate issue resolution, escalate risks, and ensure timely decision-making.
• Coordinate complex deliveries involving multiple teams, vendors, stakeholders, and technology groups.
• Ensure initiatives meet scope, timelines, quality, governance, and funding constraints.
• Maintain visibility of delivery status and drive actions to achieve business outcomes.

AI Leadership and Transformation:

• Identify and drive AI opportunities to improve productivity, quality, speed, and efficiency.
• Work with teams to define, prioritize, and implement AI use cases in planning and continuous improvement.
• Promote an AI-first mindset across the Software Development Lifecycle.

• Position location: Gdansk, Poland.
• Hybrid work model: office presence required three times a week starting from October.
