Automation Engineer

• Bachelor's Degree (Level 6) with minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role or project.
• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools: Terraform, VMware Aria Automation, and Ansible.
• Solid knowledge and practical experience with virtualization technologies, especially VMware vSphere, and cloud platforms Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud.
• Expertise in administration, configuration, automation, and troubleshooting of Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Experience working in complex enterprise IT environments collaborating across infrastructure, operations, and support teams.
• Good understanding of ITIL-based service management practices including Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management.

• Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for IT operations including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, deployments, and incident response.
• Analyze IT processes and workflows to develop automation strategies enhancing efficiency and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools: Terraform, VMware Aria Automation, and Ansible to automate infrastructure deployment and management.
• Implement and improve IT operational best practices ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and security requirements.
• Execute infrastructure and platform changes following ICT change management procedures.
• Provide 2nd line support, collaborate with 3rd line support and vendors to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Create Proofs of Concept, evaluate emerging technologies, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
