Wymagania
- Degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in data engineering with technical leadership or senior engineering responsibilities.
- Deep knowledge of Databricks and Apache Spark, including performance tuning, workload management, Delta Lake, and modern data processing architectures.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Application of software engineering principles such as testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability, and automation.
- Proactive and empathetic communication skills, especially for complex technical topics.
- Confident communication skills in English (B2 level).
Obowiązki
- Define and drive technical evolution of the enterprise data platform ensuring scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead the Databricks modernization journey, migrating workloads to Spark Declarative Pipelines and establishing reusable frameworks and best practices.
- Design and implement core platform capabilities and review critical code contributions.
- Optimize platform performance, cluster utilization, workload efficiency, and Databricks costs.
- Support engineering teams and stakeholders by solving complex data challenges and translating business requirements into technical designs.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, effort estimation, and deployment practices.
- Evaluate new technologies, promote automation and DevOps practices, and reduce technical debt.
