Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Xopero Software is a company with over 17 years of experience in providing Backup & Disaster Recovery solutions such as Xopero ONE, Xopero Unified Protection, and GitProtect. Their products protect IT environments, applications, and code repositories globally. Clients include both smaller firms and major global brands such as T-Mobile, Avis, and Quest Diagnostics.

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience as Senior System Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar.
• Practical experience with on-premise and bare-metal environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker, including troubleshooting networking, CNI, and Ingress problems.
• Proficient in administration of Unix/Linux systems, system and network diagnostics, and experience with reverse proxies such as nginx and HAProxy.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, and automation tools including Ansible, Bash, or Python scripting.
• Understanding of SLA, SLI, SLO concepts, monitoring, and incident handling.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and managing storage, including Object Storage (e.g., S3-compatible).
• Polish language proficiency (C2) and English proficiency (minimum B2) for technical documentation and communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing or maintaining Disaster Recovery architectures.
• Background in Cyber Security.
• Certifications like CKA, CKAD, CKS, RHCSA, or LFCS.
• Familiarity with GitOps and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with large-scale Object Storage / S3-compatible storage systems.
• Experience in product or SaaS environments focusing on reliability and availability.

• Deploy, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes clusters in on-premise and bare-metal environments.
• Develop cloud-agnostic infrastructure architecture for hybrid and cloud environments.
• Design and develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, and scripts in Bash/Python to reduce manual operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to define, measure, and optimize SLA, SLI, and SLO.
• Diagnose complex infrastructure and networking issues across Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, reverse proxies (e.g., nginx, HAProxy), Kubernetes, and storage layers.
• Develop proactive observability stacks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki for metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and creating technical post-mortems.
• Maintain existing Docker Swarm environments and supporting platform infrastructure.
• Work on network and storage infrastructure, optimizing performance and integration with S3-compatible Object Storage external providers.
• Share knowledge within the team and help implement automation, reliability, and modern DevOps/SRE practices.
