F/M: Data engineer

PeopleVibe is hiring for a Senior Data Engineer & AI / Forward Deployed Engineer role that combines data engineering, AI, cloud, and enterprise IT. The position involves designing and implementing data pipelines, working with Databricks, cloud platforms like GCP and Azure, and building AI/agentic AI solutions using LLM APIs.

• Senior experience in data engineering, software engineering, DevOps, or related fields
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects
• Strong experience building production data pipelines
• Knowledge of Databricks or similar data platforms
• Practical experience with AI/agentic AI
• Familiarity with GCP and/or Azure and enterprise IT environments including API, integrations, networking, IAM, and security
• Strong programming skills
• Ability to work independently with incomplete specifications
• Excellent communication with business and technical teams
• Fluent English Nice to have:
• ML/Data Science
• BI
• DataOps/MLOps
• Experience with Azure and Frends
• Knowledge of Finnish or Swedish languages

• Designing and implementing data pipelines and working with Databricks
• Modeling and preparing data for analytics
• Building AI/agentic AI solutions using LLM APIs, RAG, tool/function calling, and MCP
• Creating integrations between APIs, enterprise systems, and cloud platforms
• Working with GCP and/or Azure
• Developing analytical solutions, BI, and dashboards
• Utilizing AI in daily development tasks, e.g., Claude Code
• Testing and verifying AI-assisted code
• Ensuring quality, security, and operational stability of production solutions
• Collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders

Work location is onsite in Helsinki, Finland with standard 100% onsite presence; flexibility possible individually. The contract type is B2B. Cooperation planned at least until the end of 2026.
