Enterprise Architect (Cards & Payments)

Scalo delivers software projects and supports partners in business development across software, embedded systems, data management, and cloud services. They provide technology consulting, software creation, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 3 years of experience designing architectures for banking or payment systems.
• Strong knowledge of card system architecture in Issuing, Acquiring, and Clearing & Settlement.
• Experience with high availability (HA) and high-performance 24/7 transaction processing platforms.
• Familiarity with Visa and Mastercard payment organization architectures.
• Knowledge of ISO 8583 standard and modern payment APIs such as REST API, SOAP, IBM MQ.
• Experience with architectural patterns including Microservices, SOA, event-driven architectures, and CQRS.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• Understanding of HSM, card cryptography, EMV, and tokenization.
• Proficiency modeling architecture using Enterprise Architect, ArchiMate, and UML.
• Knowledge of cloud and container environments.
• Experience in technical analysis and architectural decision making.
• Strong collaboration skills with business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business requirements into system architecture.

Nice to have:

• Experience in card processor migration projects.
• Experience transforming monolithic to microservice architectures.
• Knowledge of card systems like Visiona, Way4, Base24, Postilion, PowerCARD, VisionPLUS, TSYS.
• Experience with Visa and Mastercard Certification projects.
• Knowledge of tokenization architectures used in Apple Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay.
• Experience in Open Banking and Embedded Finance projects.
• Certifications: TOGAF, ArchiMate, AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience in financial or payment sectors.

• Design architecture for banking and payment card systems, focusing on Issuing, Acquiring, and Clearing & Settlement.
• Define architectural standards, non-functional requirements, and strategies for card platform development.
• Design integration between card systems, bank central systems, and payment organizations Visa and Mastercard.
• Collaborate with architectural, analytical, development teams, business representatives, and technical partners.
• Conduct technical analyses and make architectural decisions.
• Model architecture using Enterprise Architect, ArchiMate, and UML techniques.
• Identify technological risks and define mitigation actions.
• Work within cloud and container environments.
• Deliver services in a hybrid mode, requiring presence in Warsaw office once a week.

Work mode is hybrid including mandatory presence in Warsaw office once a week with possibility for mostly remote work later. Services are to be provided within a banking project focused on card system development and modernization.
