Product Owner

Develocraft is working on a marketing platform for major automotive dealer groups in the UK, connecting vehicle, service, and customer data with email and SMS campaigns, lead management, and reporting.

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in software development with backlog responsibility.
• Strong specification skills to convert unclear business needs into precise user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements.
• Good understanding of data-driven products including data flows, integrations, data quality, reporting, and practical use of SQL.
• Practical Agile experience with Scrum or Kanban and tools such as Jira.
• Experience in legacy system transformation, migration, replacement, or modernization.
• Fluent English communication skills for UK stakeholder interaction.
• Highly organised and proactive in resolving topics, challenging requirements, and documenting decisions.

Nice to have:

• Experience in automotive, automotive retail, or aftersales.
• Background in marketing automation, CRM, campaign management, particularly email/SMS campaigns, audience management, consent, and GDPR.
• Experience with multi-tenant B2B SaaS products requiring client-specific configuration.
• Exposure to AWS, dbt, BI/reporting platforms, or API integrations.

• Manage and prioritise the product backlog with actionable items containing business and technical context.
• Coordinate Agile delivery by facilitating refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Define migration requirements documenting functionality parity, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Plan releases to minimise disruption for existing customers, collaborating on migration phases and rollback considerations.
• Collaborate with UK stakeholders to gather requirements, identify trade-offs, and communicate progress.
• Represent the end user to ensure platform features meet automotive dealer teams' needs.
• Drive acceptance and quality by coordinating UAT, monitoring defects, and assessing release readiness.
• Use AI (Claude) daily to investigate legacy functionality, develop specifications, consolidate feedback, and prepare release documentation.
