Senior Product Manager

Remote is a company focused on enabling businesses of all sizes to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across the globe. The team works asynchronously from around the world, building an HR platform with embedded Automation and AI capabilities.

• Proven experience as a product manager owning complex third-party integrations (API and file/EDI-based).
• Provider-agnostic mindset focused on customer realities and future needs.
• Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code; ability to build, debug, and ship functional code/prototypes.
• Comfortable designing for systems and humans; think in APIs and agent-facing tooling.
• Strong judgment for strategic and tactical decisions under deadline pressure.
• Excellent asynchronous written communication skills.

Bonus:

• Experience negotiating or managing commercial partnerships.
• Experience in benefits, HR technology, payroll, insurance technology, or fintech.

Nice to have:

• Strong technical fluency with data-mapping specs, sync and reconciliation logic, idempotency, settlement thresholds, and migration sequencing.

Own the Benefits infrastructure strategy — near-term integrations, long-term unification:

• Drive the roadmap for how Remote connects to carriers, third-party administrators, benefits platforms, and customer HR systems.
• Own the shift toward one benefits administration platform, cost-ingestion pipeline, and consistent experience across employment models.
• Translate strategy into a clear roadmap tied to pay run correctness, compliance, and customer retention.

Lead complex, cross-functional integration delivery:

• Manage initiatives like migrating benefit costs onto a unified payroll system and building provider-agnostic cost ingestion.
• Own test planning, end-to-end validation, and go-live readiness for migrations.
• Oversee activating new countries and partners, including requirements, integration, onboarding, and rollout.
• Enable sales and implementation through AI tools and code-connected agents.

Build a seamless benefits experience across products:

• Own the vision for consistent benefits behavior across employment models and customer HR systems.
• Push proactive compliance monitoring as a product feature.
• Close gaps that force manual benefits data reconciliation.

Own data integrity across partner integrations:

• Be escalation point for benefit-cost data incidents.
• Drive root-cause analysis, remediation, and durable fixes.
• Champion systemic tooling for discrepancy reporting and alerts.

Manage the partner portfolio:

• Own lifecycle of benefits partners from sourcing to offboarding.
• Partner with Partnerships team on commercial terms as technical subject-matter expert.

Communicate and align:

• Evangelize roadmap and processes across multiple teams.
• Lead by example in asynchronous, transparent collaboration.
