Software Engineering Manager

The role is within a global technology organization operating in the Technology & Telecoms industry, focused on business-critical enterprise systems involving technologies such as Oracle EBS, SAP, and Salesforce.

• Experience managing software engineering or development teams, or significant leadership as a Senior Team Lead ready to manage.
• Confidence and maturity to lead experienced technical people.
• Solid understanding of software development and engineering practices.
• Strong communication skills with ability to challenge, influence, and make decisions.
• Experience working in complex enterprise or international technology environments.
• Pragmatic, hands-on management style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Emotional maturity, resilience, and ability to build credibility with technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Experience with Oracle EBS, SAP, and Salesforce technologies.

• Lead and manage a software engineering team of approximately 10-20 people, including engineers and enterprise technology specialists.
• Set direction, priorities, and expectations, holding the team accountable for delivery and performance.
• Build a strong, high-performing team through hiring, feedback, coaching, and performance management.
• Work closely with engineers and architects on technical topics, asking the right questions and challenging solutions where appropriate.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into practical technology outcomes.
• Drive improvements in engineering practices, automation, SDLC, and delivery processes.
• Support modernization of enterprise applications and platforms used across functions such as manufacturing, logistics, and finance.
• Operate with autonomy while collaborating with technology leadership and stakeholders across a global organization.
