AI Engineer

Northmill Bank is a Swedish bank with 2,500 merchants and 600,000 end users. The company employs 310 people across four countries, including about 80 experienced engineers in the Poland Engineering Center in Katowice. The bank's goal is to improve financial life by being digital yet personal.

• 5+ years of commercial experience in software engineering.
• Solid experience with Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Quick AI.
• Solid experience in Python and adjacent tools.
• Experience with prompt engineering and structured prompt testing.
• Experience designing harnesses for coding assistants and understanding modern agentic patterns.
• Experience with cost optimization of GenAI solutions.
• Experience using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar agent frameworks.
• Understanding of data security and risks associated with agentic workflows.
• Willingness and interest to collaborate and work in a team.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI-oriented AWS services like Amazon Sagemaker or AWS Transcribe.
• Experience with broader AWS platform beyond AI services.
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
• Experience scripting with PowerShell 6+.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and modern delivery standards.
• Exposure to microservice infrastructure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering practices.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

• Design and develop AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Quick AI.
• Partner with development teams to prepare scalable, secure, and deterministic agentic solutions.
• Drive continuous evolution of AI platform adopting best practices of GenAI in SDLC and business process automation.
• Participate in evaluation, cost optimization, and governance of tooling, large language models, and design patterns for agentic approaches.
• Work with AWS, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Google Gemini, Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Use modern AI development tools.
