Nord Security is the company behind Threat Protection Pro, the NordLynx protocol, and the fastest VPN on the planet. The role is part of the Design Engineering team responsible for building and evolving Aurora, NordSecurity's multi-brand, multi-platform design system that ships across multiple rendering stacks including ReactKit, AstroKit, and AppKit.

Wymagania

  • Proven experience building, maintaining, and scaling design systems with deep understanding of design system principles, component architecture, and token strategies.
  • Strong product design fundamentals including visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, and interaction design.
  • Proficiency in Javascript, modern CSS (including TailwindCSS), and semantic HTML with ability to quickly adapt to unfamiliar stacks.
  • Fluency with Figma variables, component architecture, accurate design-to-code translation; experience with Plugin API or MCP is highly regarded.
  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience with Storybook.js for component development, documentation, and testing.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across design, engineering, and product teams.
  • Experience working with design tools like Figma and translating designs accurately into code.

Obowiązki

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve Aurora component kits: ReactKit, AstroKit, and AppKit, ensuring consistent component contracts.
  • Contribute to Aurora's visual and interaction language, including component anatomy, variants, states, interaction behavior, and motion in both Figma and code.
  • Build internal design tooling such as Figma plugins, CLI utilities, CI checks, and prototyping tools designed for AI-native workflows.
  • Evangelize and innovate by championing best practices and driving adoption of design automation, tooling like Storybook, and testing strategies.
  • Guide, train, and support product development teams in adopting and utilizing the Aurora design system.
  • Actively participate in the design process by providing technical input, prototyping interactions, and translating design concepts into polished UI components.
  • Implement engaging animations and micro-interactions to improve user experience.
  • Build and maintain accessible components compliant with standards like WCAG AA.
  • Own the technical implementation and architecture of the design system components, maintaining high code quality and performance standards.
