Manager, Engineering (Payouts & Banking Integration)

Allegro Finance, part of Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o., operates in the fintech sector focusing on payment platforms and banking integration in e-commerce. The team leads backend engineering for payout orchestration and banking compliance systems that handle high-scale transactional operations and regulatory requirements.

• Experience managing and mentoring backend engineering teams in high-availability transactional environments.
• Strong technical background with deep expertise in JVM backend architectures (Kotlin, Java).
• Understanding of financial/fintech systems, including asynchronous message buses (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus), database transaction isolation, and secure communications.
• Product-oriented mindset focused on financial integrity and risk management.
• Proactive collaboration skills working autonomously and closely with other core teams.
• Fluency in Polish and good command of English.

• Managing, mentoring, and supporting an engineering team of 6 backend developers.
• Overseeing the development of the core payouts engine including banking connectivity (mBank/PKO BP/PayU via SOAP/REST).
• Implementing automated bundling strategies and ISO 20022/CAMT statement parsers.
• Collaborating with Compliance, Legal, and Finance stakeholders to ensure 100% regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
• Guiding architectural decisions across the stack including Kotlin, Spring Boot APIs, reactive messaging pipelines (Azure Service Bus), and MongoDB/PostgreSQL optimizations.
• Supporting the team in daily operations, optimizing SLA monitoring, and resolving production incidents.
• Ensuring robust, transactional delivery of money-movement software.
