Data Scientist

Scalo delivers software projects and supports partners in developing their businesses, utilizing a wide range of IT services including technology consulting, software development, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 4 years experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and statistics
• Strong analytical, business, and technical skills aligned with a T-shaped Data Scientist approach
• Proficient in SQL for data analysis and processing
• Practical experience in programming with Python and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib
• Familiarity with Java or Scala and popular Machine Learning libraries
• Experience working with Hadoop and Apache Spark
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and Linux system administration
• Ability to translate business problems into analytical or Machine Learning solutions
• Experience in data acquisition, exploration, and preparation from diverse sources
• Effective collaboration with business stakeholders and communicating value of proposed solutions
• Ability to present product vision based on data and engage business partners in development

• Realize services in a banking project
• Design, develop and implement Machine Learning models for different business domains (e.g. churn analysis, fraud prevention, process mining, NLP)
• Analyze and explore data to identify trends, correlations, and business opportunities
• Acquire, integrate and prepare data from various sources for analysis and modeling
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify problems and define data-driven solutions
• Translate business needs into valuable analytical products and solutions
• Present analysis results, recommendations, and solution concepts to business partners
• Develop and maintain environments and processes supporting Machine Learning model building and deployment
• Work with technical teams to deploy solutions in production environments
• Ensure quality, scalability, and efficiency of analytical solutions
• Project location: Warsaw, hybrid mode with 2-3 days onsite per week
