Senior Platform Engineer (API & Gateway - Data & AI Platform)

• 5+ years of experience in platform or software engineering with expertise in Python
• Experience building APIs and SDKs on distributed services including client libraries
• Proficiency in FastAPI, REST/async API design, versioning, and contract testing
• Expertise in gateway architecture, orchestration, API integration, and routing
• Knowledge of IAM concepts including RBAC/ABAC, managed/workload identity, and token delegation
• Hands-on experience with Azure and GCP including private endpoints and multi-cloud integration
• Skills in CI/CD and automation with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana
• Ability to unify a fragmented service landscape into one cohesive product
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

• Design and build APIs and SDKs on top of distributed platform services using Python/FastAPI
• Define REST/async API design standards, versioning strategies, and contract testing practices
• Develop client libraries for consistent access to platform services
• Architect and maintain a gateway layer that fronts platform services
• Establish orchestration and routing patterns to unify services
• Implement RBAC/ABAC least-privilege authorization models at the gateway level
• Manage identity and token flows including managed/workload identity and delegation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Produce clear service contracts and documentation
• Integrate services across Azure and GCP, leveraging private endpoints
• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana
• Use metrics, traces, and logs to debug and tune performance in production
